How to boost internet speed with a single setting change

Just follow these instructions to modify the IRPStackSize value in the registry editor.

1.Press Windows + Q keys simultaneously. Enter “regedit” now in the search box.

2.To access it, touch “Registry Editor” in the search results.

Note –

Any careless modification in the registry editor can lead to an unstable system, even if it can cause irreversible damage to your computer. We ask that you make a backup copy of the registry on your computer.

After opening Registry Editor, click File. Then, to build a fresh backup on your computer, select “Export.”

3.On the Registry Editor screen, go to this location after creating a backup of the registry keys

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters

4.Now, in the right pane of “Settings,” look for the value “IRPStackSize.”

If you find the IRPStackSize value on the right, skip these steps and go to step 5.

However, if you cannot find the IRPStackSize value, you will need to create a new DWORD value.

a.right-click in the box on the right and click “New.”

Then select the “DWORD (32-bit) Value”.

b.Rename the new key to “IRPStackSize.”

5.Now, double-click on “IRPStackSize” to change it.

6. Then click “Decimal” as “Base.”

7. Next, replace the “Value data:” with any value between “32”*.

8. Finally, click “OK” to save the changes.

Note –

You can set the value of this IRPStackSize to any value between 30 and 35. We have tried several matters. However, assigning a value between “33” and “38” may result in some network stability.

After changing each value, close the Registry Editor.

Restart your computer once for this change to take effect.
